A single gas detector is a portable or fixed safety device that monitors for the presence of one specific type of gas in the surrounding environment, such as carbon monoxide (COcap C cap O𝐶𝑂), hydrogen sulfide (H2Scap H sub 2 cap S𝐻2𝑆), or oxygen (O2cap O sub 2𝑂2). When a hazardous concentration of the target gas is detected, it alerts the user through audible, visual, and/or vibratory alarms, helping to prevent accidents in dangerous areas like industrial sites, mines, and confined spaces
